2010 Koonara Ezra's Gift Coonawarra Shiraz

Cropped at one tonne per acre and aged for 24 months in French oak. Totally opaque midnight black colour with a deep dark red black hue. Heady aromas of ripe blackberries and liquorice are followed by dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and spice. Full bodied, rich and velvety the palate possesses sumptuous flavours of dark chocolate, ripe blackberries and liquorice with just a touch of spearmint also present over a background of vanillin cedar and spice. Velvet smooth, yet solidly built tannins provide an excellent framework. Long aftertaste of liquorice, dark chocolate, ripe blackberries and spicy vanillin cedar. A top example of a rich fully ripened Coonawarra Shiraz.
