Matured for 38 months in new French oak hogsheads. Totally opaque black crimson colour with a deep dark crimson red hue. Pronounced ripe blackcurrant and liquorice scents leap out of the glass followed by some dark chocolate and spicy vanillin cedar. Full bodied, very rich and possessing a dense opulent texture the palate features mouthfilling flavours of liquorice, cassis and dark chocolate over a spicy vanillin cedar background. Solidly built but velvet like in appearance tannins. Aftertaste of liquorice, ripe blackcurrant, dark chocolate and spicy vanillin cedar.
