Aged for 18 months in French oak. Opaque black crimson red colour with deep dark crimson red hue. The nose shows good lift with blackcurrant and ripe mulberry top notes followed by some cedar, a touch of tobacco and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate delivers generous blackcurrant and ripe dark mulberry flavours followed by some cedar and spice. Very fine grained almost velvet like tannins with long blackcurrant, ripe mulberry and spicy cedar aftertaste.
