2010 Haystack Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red colour with translucent dark red hue. Top notes of anise are followed by some ripe dark cherry, toasty oak and spice. Light weight with a soft supple mouthfeel but lacking depth and power. The palate has flavours of toasty anise, some dark cherries and spice. Velvet smooth tannins with moderate aftertaste of anise, toast and spice. The toasty anise component is a little too overwhelming.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
