Opaque black purple colour with dark purple hue. Aromas of plum and black raspberry are followed by a touch of liquorice and some spice. Medium to full bodied the palate displays generous flavours of black raspberry, plum and sarsaparilla vanilla like characters followed by some spice and toast. Very fine grained tannins with moderate aftertaste of dark plum, sarsaparilla and toasty vanillin oak. Ageing took place in 100% American oak puncheons.
