Made from predominately Grenache (90%) this blend also contains a component of Shiraz. The Grenache vines are 80 years old and the wine is aged in a combination of French and American oak barriques for a period of 15 months. Deep dark red black colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose displays perfumed notes of liquorice, mocha, black raspberry, dark plum and confectionary. Medium bodied palate with generous flavours of dark chocolate, liquorice, dark raspberry and spice. Fine grained tannins with aftertaste of liquorice, dark chocolate, dark raspberry and spice.
