Totally opaque black crimson colour with a deep dark crimson red black tinged hue. The nose offers up pronounced aniseed top notes followed by some black plum, black cherries, toasty oak and spice. Full bodied and opulent the palate sports a rich profile of liquorice, black cherries and subtle dark chocolate which overlays some toasty oak and spice. Very fine grained tannins with medium to long liquorice, black cherry and spicy toasted oak aftertaste.
