2010 Douglas Laing & Co. Provenance Blair Athol 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Typically sweet, fragrant and relatively rich on the palate, Blair Athol continues to favour x-Bourbon maturation with a smaller proportion reserved in sherry butts. Supplying the Bell's blend remains a priority, hence the lack of official bottlings, excepting distillery exclusives and the odd appearance in Diageo's annual 'Special Releases' line up. Douglas Laing break the drought with this youthful, vibrant expression at 46% promising milk chocolate, buttery oat biscuits and hot cross buns on the nose and a superbly fulsome delivery including spice, nutmeg, condensed milk and toffee flavours. We have a small number from the 354 bottles drawm from a rejuvenated hogshead in 2020. Non chill filtered.
