Opaque black dark purple colour with dark purple hue. The nose is a little subdued at first slowly revealing black raspberry, a touch of liquorice, smoky dried meat and spice end notes. Full bodied and rich the palate possesses decadent black raspberry flavours followed by some liquorice, dried meats and a spicy back palate. This is quite a structured Chateauneuf du Pape with a firm, slightly chewy tannin structure. Long aftertaste of black raspberry, liquorice, dried meats and spice. A Chateauneuf du Pape that possesses richness, structure and depth – one for the long haul.
Cellar 6-8 years (2018-2020).

Other Reviews….
The two cuvees called Signature and Terroir are now combined into one simply called Chateauneuf du Pape. A sensational effort, the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape exhibits jammy black raspberry and black currant fruit intermixed with licorice, camphor, incense and hits of truffles as well as pepper. With velvety tannins, abundant glycerin, a nicely delineated mouthfeel, a sumptuous texture and a long finish, this 2010 should drink well for 12-15+ years.
