Matured for 12 months in French oak barriques. Totally opaque black dark red colour with deep very dark red hue. The nose exhibits ripe blackcurrant and dark cherry top notes followed by some cedar and spice. Full bodied the palate possesses ripe blackcurrant flavours over a hint of liquorice, cedary tobacco and spice with a dry chewy finish. Firm solidly built tannin structure which requires time to fully integrate. Aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, cedary tobacco and spice.
