Nicely weighted nose, thick with rich malt, orchard fruits and vanillas. Some ripe apple and pear. Flavours repeat what the bouquet promised in a bold, juicy, fruity, oily Speysider balanced by late wood spices and fine astringency. Very pure. A simple classic. STR barrique matured. 54.6% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 290 bottles.

Notes from Claxton's... Nose: Spiced summer fruits. Strudel. Oak and vanilla notes. Palate: Stewed fruits with sweet oak. Crème brulee. Finish: Sweet, dessert-like finish. Fruity and oaky in the aftertaste.
