Clarendon, SA Totally opaque inky black purple colour with deep dark purple red hue. The nose displays good perfumed lift with top notes of blackcurrants and violets followed by some dark chocolate, cedar and spice. Full bodied and rich but tightly structured the palate possesses flavours of ripe blackcurrant and dark chocolate which are followed by a touch of liquorice, earthy cedar and spice. Solid assertive tannins impart a muscular mouthfeel. Long blackcurrant, dark chocolate, cedar and spice aftertaste.
