2010 Clarendon Hills Liandra Syrah

Magnificent totally opaque black dark purple colour with deep dark purple red hue. Intense aromas of ripe blackberry and ripe black cherry are intertwined with some liquorice and meaty characters finishing with some blackpepper end notes. The palate possesses plenty of richness but is a little more restrained and tight fisted than more forward vintages such as 2006. Mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackberry, black cherry and liquorice are followed by some cedar, dried meaty characters and blackpepper. Solid assertive tannins but very well integrated. Long black cherry, liquorice, spicy dried meats and blackpepper aftertaste.
Cellar 8-10 years (2021-2023).
