2010 Chateau Berliquet Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classe
A strong effort from Berliquet, the 2010 was fashioned from yields of 23 hectoliters per hectare by the managing consultant, Nicolas Thienpont and Stephane Derenoncourt. Composed of 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, it offers copious aromas of sweet kirsch liqueur, underbrush, plums and black cherries. This mineral-laced, deep, medium to full-bodied, moderately tannic, broad, savory St.-Emilion exhibits more power and depth than past vintages. Drink it over the next 10-15 years.Drink: 2013 - 2026.

Lots of dark fruits with intense leather and spices on the nose. Full body, with super fine tannins and lovely fruit. Goes on for a long time. $$
