2010 Carn Mor Strictly Limited Glentauchers 11 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

The bargain in Carn Mor's latest outturn comes full-term matured in a first-fill ex-sherry butt. Initially closed, five minutes of air contact draws out deep honeyed tones on the nose, followed by orange sponge cake, toasted cereals and cocoa. This tastes considerably older than what it actually is and is striking for its precocious integration. Toasted malt, vanilla and wild honey-like flavours are balanced by soft wood spices and chewy tannins. Sherry and malt are in equilibrium. From an outturn of 1690 bottles. Very limited stocks. 47.5% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
