Totally opaque inky black colour with black crimson red hue. Displaying good intensity the nose offers up liquorice and ripe blackberry aromas over a dark chocolate back drop followed by some vanillin oak and spice. The palate possesses concentrated flavours of liquorice and blackberry which overlay some toasty vanillin oak finishing with a spicy back palate. Superb richness and balance with a solid but fine grained tannin structure. Excellent depth with long persistent aftertaste of liquorice, blackberry, toasty vanillin oak and spice.
