2010 Campbells The Barkly Durif

Inky black purple colour with very deep dark purple black hue. On the nose scents of ripe morello cherry and liquorice are followed by some dark chocolate, subtle dried raisins and spicy vanillin oak. Boasting abundant rich ripe morello cherry and liquorice flavours the palate is big and dense. Nuances of black plum, toasty vanillin oak and spice are also present. Counter balancing the volumes of dense fruit is a firm solid tannin structure which provides the wine with a slightly chewy finish. Long ripe morello cherry, black plum, liquorice and spicy vanillin oak aftertaste.
