2010 Boroli Barolo

Semi translucent dark red colour with a brick red hue. Aromas of ripe dark cherries intermixed with some stewed plum are overlaid by cedar and a hint of tobacco followed by subtle new leather and dried herb notes. Medium bodied with a chewy mouthfeel and dry finish the palate has flavours of ripe dark cherries intermixed with dried cherries over some tobacco and leather characters with spicy dried herb infusions also evident. The drying tannins are a touch chalky and firm up the finish. Aftertaste of dark ripe cherries, dried cherries, earthy leather and spicy dried herbs. A slightly austere Barolo with an advanced flavour profile.
