2010 Ata Rangi Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red colour with bright crimson red hue. The nose shows good perfumed lift with aromas of ripe dark cherries intermixed with some black raspberries followed by some well integrated toasty oak, a touch of emerging gameiness and spice. Light to medium weight the palate possesses dark cherry and black raspberry flavours with an overlay of toasty oak and some spice on the back palate. Good power wave but not classic Ata Rangi. Very fine grained verging on velvety tannins. Long ripe dark cherry, toasty oak and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
