2010 Ada River Heathcote Reserve Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Ripe blackberry and liquorice aromas meld into vanillin cedar, fennel and peppered meat notes. Medium to full in body and possessing a velvety feel, this is not as weighty, concentrated or rich as top vintages such as 2006 and 2008. Refined flavours of blackberry, plum and liquorice overlay gently toasted vanillin oak, earthy fennel and pepper. Beautifully polished tannins with a medium to long conclusion showing a sense of elegance.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
