2009 Warrabilla Reserve Riesling

This Riesling was grown on the Parola’s vineyard and whilst Rutherglen is perceived as being the home of big reds and fortified wines, this wine comes as a very pleasant surprise. Bright very pale straw colour with water like hue. Delicate top note of lime, orange blossom and rose petal. The palate delivers flavours of lime and lemon followed by light tropical fruit and light orange rind. There is a fullness of flavour on the palate but by no means is it coarse or broad. The delicacy of Riesling is retained. Aftertaste of lime, tropical fruit and orange.
