2009 Torbreck The Factor Shiraz

The success of the Factor relies on ultra-careful fruit selection from old vines in Marananga, Greenock, Krondorf, Gomersal & Ebenezer. The parcels are selected for their individual qualities and matured separately in both new and old French barriques.

Super saturated totally opaque inky black colour with deep black dark crimson hue. The nose delivers an intense aromatic profile of ripe dark plums, liquorice and dark chocolate followed by some finely integrated cedar and spice. On the palate decadent richness combines with a voluptuous plushly textured mouthfeel delivering concentrated flavours of ripe dark plum and dark chocolate followed by a touch of liquorice, some vanillin toasty oak and spice. Silky smooth tannins. Outstanding power with very long ripe dark plum, dark chocolate, liquorice and toasty vanillin oak aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years (2013-2019).
