Opaque dark red black colour with a very dark brick red hue. Nosing reveals blackcurrant and mulberry scents intermixed with cigar box characters followed by some earth and spice. Medium bodied the palate has mellowed and become quite savoury featuring flavours of blackcurrant intermixed with cigar box, leather, earthiness and spice. Very fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, cigar box, scorched earth and spice.
