2009 Signatory Vintage The Un-Chillfiltered Collection Unnamed Orkney 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Orkney's windswept archipelago of seventy small islands lies off the top coast of Scotland and is home to the most northerly outpost of whisky making in the world. Two distilleries vie for the honour of the furthest; Highland Park and Scapa. The winner by about 300 metres is Highland Park. Although we can't be 100% certain where this is from, reviews from bloggers suggest a strong sense of ‘Orkneyness' that matches one particular distillery's style. What'smore, the non chill filtered / 46% ABV credentials are very good when compared with what you'd pay for offical age statements. Matured in two hogsheads and bottled in early 2022.
