Aged for 12 months in French oak hogsheads. Totally opaque black crimson red colour with deep crimson red black hue. The nose displays good aromatic lift with scents of liquorice dominant followed by some dark chocolate, vanillin confectionary and spice. Generously flavoured with liquorice, blackberry and dark chocolate followed by some vanillin spice characters. Very fine grained polished tannins give the wine a supple mouthfeel. Medium to long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice, dark chocolate and toasty vanillin oak.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
