Produced from a blend of 97% Shiraz and 3% Cabernet with maturation taking place in large old oak vats for a period of 14 months. It’s vineyard sources include Robe, Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills, Wrattonbully, Clare Valley & McLaren Vale. Opaque black crimson colour with dark crimson red black hue. Nosing offers up scents of liquorice, some meatiness, subtle blackberry, confectionary, some spicy oak and blackpepper. Full bodied the palate possesses a soft fleshy mouthfeel showing controlled richness with liquorice and blackberry flavours prevalent over some spicy toasted oak, vanillin confectionary and blackpepper. Excellent length with very fine grained tannins that provide a solid framework. Very long liquorice, blackberry, subtle toasty oak, vanillin confectionary and blackpepper aftertaste.
