Maturation took place in French oak of which 28% was new for a period of 12 months. Opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson purple hue. Aromas of blackberry, liquorice and spice with a meaty overlay. Medium weight the palate delivers flavours of blackberry, liquorice and spice with a hint of minty cedar on the back palate. Fine grained, slightly dryish tannins. Aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice and spicy cedar.
