Very deep dark red black colour with a bright dark red hue. Aromas of liquorice and leathery varnish like characters dominate the nose and are somewhat off putting with notes of boot polish and spice following. The palate has flavours of liquorice and leathery varnish like characters over some earth with a sharp acid finish. Fine grained tannins. Short aftertaste of liquorice, varnish like characters, leather and spice.
