2009 Nicholson River Winery NR Chardonnay

Brilliant straw colour with pale gold green tinged edges and water like hue. The nose displays aromas of white peach, nougat, cashew and spice followed by a hint of toast. The palate is relatively rich and full bodied although not as full blown as previous vintages. Mouthfilling flavours of honeycomb, white peach, spice and cashew with the spiciness persisting onto the back palate. The wine possesses an almost creamy like texture whilst maintaining good acid balance so it does not come across as fat or flabby. Long aftertaste of spice, honeycomb and cashew. A youthful Nicholson River Chardonnay that will fill out and build further complexity with time in the bottle.
Cellar 3-4 years (2013-2014).
