2009 Narkoojee Reserve Chardonnay

A big, round, full flavoured Chardonnay - not quite as powerful as the extraordinary 2006, but one which forms a successful compromise somewhere in between that and the more refined 2008.

Bright straw colour with pale gold edges and watery hue. The nose displays an intense and intoxicating aromatic profile of peach, cashew and honeycomb followed by some light toast and spice notes – a superb sniff. Full bodied with a creamy texture the palate displays generous flavours of cashew, peach, light honeycomb and roast almonds with a toast overlay. Excellent concentration. Soft acid finish with long aftertaste of cashew, spicy toasted oak and hazelnut.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
