2009 Marguet Grand Cru Vintage Champagne

Pours impressively with a frothy white mousse that shows good hold. Very pale gold straw base wine colour with an exceptionally fine bead that shows great persistence. The nose reveals aromas of pears and apples overlaid by baked bread and yeast lees characters with some lightly toasted dried honey end notes. Rich mouthfilling flavours of baked bread, yeast lees and toast are followed by some pear and faint cashew. Excellent concentration and very creamy in texture. Clean dry finish with a long aftertaste of roasted almonds, baked bread, yeast lees and cashews.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
