Totally opaque black purple colour with deep dark crimson purple hue. The nose displays lifted aromas of blackcurrant and mulberry with a minty bay leaf like overlay followed by some underlying cedar and spice notes. Medium to full bodied the palate shows more of Coonawarra’s typical elegance than the power house 2008 model. Mouthfilling flavours of blackcurrant and mulberry followed by some mint, cedar and spice. Very fine grained perfectly integrated tannin structure. Excellent depth with long aftertaste of ripe mulberry, cedar and spice.
