2009 Lapostolle Cuvee Alexandre Cabernet Sauvignon

This solidly built Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from 60 year old non irrigated vines. Totally opaque black dark red colour with very deep dark red hue. The nose displays top notes of blackcurrant infused with tobacco followed by some cigar box, cedar and spice. Medium to full bodied with a structured masculine mouthfeel the palate delivers rich blackcurrant flavours supported by cedar, cigar box and spice. Dryish finish with firm solid tannin structure. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, cedary tobacco and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years.
