Matured for 24 months in small French oak casks. Totally opaque black dark crimson red colour with deep black crimson hue. Perfumed nose with lifted top notes of liquorice followed by some ripe blackberry, confectionary and vanillin spice. Full bodied the palate delivers a rich opulent flavour profile of black plum, liquorice and ripe blackberry with an overlay of toasty vanillin oak followed by a touch of spice. Voluptuous mouthfeel with velvet smooth tannins. Very long aftertaste of liquorice, black plum, toasty vanillin oak and spice.
