Opaque black crimson colour with crimson red purple hue. Showing good intensity the nose has lifted scents of liquorice and ripe blackberry followed by some dark chocolate, vanillin confectionary and a touch of spice. Full bodied, yet a somewhat restrained Old Bastard, the palate delivers concentrated flavours of liquorice, blackberry, vanillin oak, confectionary and spice. Velvet smooth tannins with very long liquorice, blackberry, vanillin confectionary and spice aftertaste.
