2009 Julicher 99 Rows Pinot Noir

Displaying a semi translucent crimson red colour with crimson mauve hue this Pinot was matured for 10 months in French oak of which 15% was new. The nose shows good perfumed lift with aromas of dark cherries, anise, violets and spice. Medium weight and possessing plenty of richness the palate delivers generous flavours of dark plum and anise with some spicy cedar on the back palate. Very fine grained beautifully integrated tannin structure. Excellent power wave with long aftertaste of dark cherry, plum and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2010-2013).
