Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep very dark red hue. Aromas of liquorice and blackberry merge into some subtle new leather, earth and spicy vanillin cedar scents. Rich and fleshy with excellent concentration and a plush satin like textural feel the palate boasts mouthfilling flavours of liquorice, ripe blackberries and dark plums over spicy vanillin cedar, a hint of emerging earthy leather and pepper. Velvety tannins. Abundant power with a long savoury aftertaste of liquorice, dark plum, blackberries, earthy vanillin cedar and pepper. Aged reds at this price are a welcome relief to all of the fresh, crunchy early releases on the market at present.
