A huge whisky by any measure, but one that needs air contact to show its best. Malt follows more malt into an amply curvaceous middle, giving way to a flood of spices that almost eclipse later suggestions of Toblerone bar and bittersweet chocolate. Textural, and at moments, borderline luscious. Recioto della Valpolicella Italian Red Wine Hogshead finished. 62.5% Alc./Vol. Non-chill filtered. 318 bottles. Tasted from a 15ml sample.
