2009 Hurley Vineyard Garamond Pinot Noir

Matured in French oak casks of which one third were new for a period of 18 months and then bottled without fining or filtration. Deep dark crimson red colour, slightly cloudy, with crimson red hue. Perfumed aromas of violets, dark cherries and anise arise from the glass followed by some underlying toasty oak and spice. Possessing generosity and power the palate delivers flavours of dark cherry, dark plum and anise followed by some meaty characters and spice. Fine grained well integrated tannins with long dark cherry, anise, meaty cedar and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years.
