This wine has been aged in mostly new American oak for 9 months. Opaque black dark brick red colour with dark brick red hue. Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, dark chocolate, a touch of liquorice and cedar. Big bold palate with mouthfilling flavours of very ripe blackcurrant, liquorice, vanillin cedar and spice. A touch of heat is present on the finish. Fine grained tannins with aftertaste of liquorice, blackcurrant and spicy vanillin cedar.
