Glen Spey makes an unexpected debut into G&Ms wine cask finish series. Distilled in 2009, matured in refill bourbon barrels, then finished in Cote Rotie casks for 3 years before being bottled in 2021. Côte Rôtie in the northern Rhone is home to some of the oldest vineyards in France and is famed for full-bodied, richly coloured Syrah based wines. Indeed, the red wine input shows in the gorgeous colour of this whisky. Expect sweet raspberry flavours complimenting soft orange and toasted oak and Summer berries through the finish. 45% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. From an outturn of 3500 bottles.
