It's been quite some time since G&M released this popular Caol Ila edition (to our knowledge the last bottling was in 2016). Distilled in 2009, a spell in Bourbon barrels was followed by twenty-four months in x-Sassicaia casks (one of Tuscany's most prestigious red wines). Combined with Caol Ila's sweetly peated distillate, it promises a medley of cinnamon spice, redcurrant, black pepper, forest fruits and smoke. The outturn is lower this time around, with 3550 bottles on offer globally. Bottled November 2022. 45% Alc./Vol.
