2009 Glenmore Petit Verdot

This 100% Petit Verdot has been matured for 2 years in French oak. Totally opaque inky black colour with a very dark red hue. Lifted ripe blackcurrant aromas are intermixed with traces of dark chocolate and liquorice followed by some cedar, earth and spice. Full bodied, dark and rich the palate possesses sumptuous flavours of ripe blackcurrant and liquorice followed by a touch of dark chocolate, earthy cedar and spice. Firm dryish finish, a result of the robust tannin structure. Excellent depth with a long aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, liquorice, earthy cedar, subtle leather and spice.
