2009 Gaelic Cemetery Vineyard Shiraz

Impenetrable inky black colour with a very deep dark red black hue. Intense aromas of liquorice, ripe blackberries and black cherries are followed by vanillin cedar, a touch of earth and spice. Big, rich and densely concentrated the palate features bold, luscious flavours of ripe blackberries, liquorice and black cherries with a good underlying firm tannin structure. Nuances of earthy leather, vanillin cedar and spice are also present. Dry, slightly chewy finish with a long conclusion of liquorice, blackberries, black cherries, toasty vanillin cedar, subtle earthy leather and spice. Only 2000 bottles produced.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
