Matured in new French oak for 20 months. Totally opaque black dark purple colour with deep dark purple crimson red hue. The nose displays aromas of mulberry and mint with a dusty cedar overlay followed by some spicy cigar box end notes. Medium weight the palate is a little tighter than the 2008 displaying flavours of blackcurrant, mulberry, cigar box and spicy cedar. Good length with fine grained dryish tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of mulberry, cigar box, spice and cedar.
Cellar 4-5 years (2015-2016).
