Tasting note: [15ml sample] Ledaig is typically peaty in a barnyardy kind of way, with a bit of a salty bite too. This one's more maritime than usual. A dead-ringer for young Caol Ila on the nose, the peat takes on an earthy slant in the mouth developing a sea-breeze freshness. Tongue-tingling and deliciously vibrant. Salt’n’pepper tang carries the finish. From an outturn of 411 bottles. 46% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from Douglas Laing... "Distinctly maritime and oceanic nose with puffs of smoked meat and new leather. Fulsome with fried pancetta, sweet peat and smoked barley. Medium-long with seaweed, dark chocolate, gingers, rock salt and blueberries."
