2009 Douglas Laing & Co. Old Particular Single Cask Talisker 8 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Diageo's annual 'Special Releases' have highlighted just how good young Talisker can be. Douglas Laing now up the ante with this eight year old from a single cask. Invariably an excellent example of a coastal/maritime Scotch being oily, peppery and richly seaweedy, at high strength the flavours will be super-charged. Serge Valentin at whiskyfun.com described a sister cask of the same age and from the same bottler as "...excellent whisky in my book." This release was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2018 without chill filtration. 48.4% Alc./Vol. 378 bottles produced.
