Aged in new and older French oak barrels. Opaque black dark red colour with a bright very dark red hue. Aromas of blackcurrant are intermixed with some more subtle scents of violets, mulberries and light bay leaf with some vanillin cedar like end notes. Light to medium weight the palate is very elegant and soft displaying subtle flavours of blackcurrant, mulberries, bay leaf and spicy cedar. Very fine grained well integrated tannins. Dryish finish with an aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberry, subtle bay leaf and spicy cedar.
