2009 Clarendon Hills Hickinbotham Syrah

Matured for 18 months in 85% new, tight-grained French Oak. Totally opaque saturated black crimson red colour with deep black crimson hue. The nose displays an impressive aromatic profile of ripe blackberry, dark plum and liquorice along with some cedar, vanillin confectionary and spice. Full bodied the palate possesses great richness, finesse and class with mouthfilling liquorice, blackberry, confectionary and vanillin spice flavours. Very fine grained almost velvet like tannins. Magnificent length with long liquorice, blackberry and blackpepper aftertaste.
Cellar 5-8 years.
