2009 Campbells The Barkly Durif

Totally opaque inky black colour with deep black dark crimson red hue. The nose exhibits intense aromas of morello cherry, liquorice and black plum followed by some cedary oak and spice. Super concentrated the palate is monumental boasting rich dark fruit flavours of morello cherry, liquorice and black plum followed by some vanillin cedar and spice. Solidly built, firm but perfectly balanced tannins provide ample support. Superb balance, depth and richness with very long persistent, liquorice, morello cherry, black plum and vanillin spice aftertaste.
